Lee Jong-Beom
Lee Jong-Beom (Korean: 이종범, Hanja: 李鍾範; born August 15, 1970) is a South Korean professional baseball player who plays for the Kia Tigers, the franchise with the most championship victories in Korean pro baseball history.
He started his career at shortstop but now plays mainly center fielder. Lee is considered one of the best five-tool players in Korean baseball history.
Some career highlights include:
- 30-60 season - a player's season in which least 30 home runs and 60 stolen bases recorded.
- 73 stolen bases in his rookie season
- 84 stolen bases in his second year, along with a .393 full-season batting average,
- 4 gold gloves as a shortstop and 2 as an outfielder, and not having missed a single all star game during his professional career in Korea.
